The Covington Wellness Program
The Covington's Fitness Center is the focus of its Wellness Program. The Center houses state-of-the-art Keiser Strength Training Equipment, as well as a variety of cardiovascular training equipment, including treadmill, elliptical, and nu-step machines. Other cardiovascular options include an outside fitness walk and three-lane indoor pool.
The Fitness Center features a full-time Fitness Coordinator, educated to promote the wellness of seniors. Multiple group classes are scheduled daily, five days a week, including Low Impact Aerobics,Stretch & Balance, Aqua, and Assisted Living Fitness.
The Fitness Coordinator provides assessments to help residents set goals and monitor their personal performance. Personal training is available to increase and maintain strength, balance & mobility, and cardiovascular performance/endurance. Monthly fitness lectures cover various aspects of senior health and fitness.
