Sonora Community Estates is an Adventist retirement community located in the beautiful Sierra Nevada foothills in the heart of California’s “Gold Country”. Sonora is known as the “Queen of the Southern Mines”. Sonora has a population of 4,500 and is the county seat for Tuolumne County. Visitors and locals alike enjoy its rich heritage, historic charm and small town hospitality. At the 1,826 foot elevation, it is nicely situated above the San Joaquin fog and heat, yet below the normal snow line of the mountains. The climate is great for retirement living.
