Downey Retirement Center is a licensed residential care facility for the elderly offering assisted living and individualized care programs. We are conveniently located near Downey Community Hospital and the Stonewood Shopping Center in a quiet neighborhood in the City of Downey. We offer private and semi-private rooms and we also offer 24-hour dementia care in our secured unit called the Oasis Center.

Downey Retirement Center provides the amenities that create a home-like atmosphere and we encourage our residents to maintain a level of independence that is so important to us all. At Downey Retirement Center, we believe retirement should be a positive and fulfilling state of life and everything we do reflects that philosophy.

Individuals interested in joining our community must

* Meet the minimum age requirement of 60 years old
* Not need 24-hour skilled care
* Complete an assessment process which includes an individual interview and a
completed Physician's Report form.

Services

We provide a home-like environment, free from all the daily concerns associated with living alone. Sometimes performing relatively simple tasks such as housekeeping, preparation of meals and laundry can become burdensome for many seniors. At Downey Retirement Center, these day-to-day services are all provided for our residents allowing them to spend retirement doing the things that theyâ€™ve dreamed of doing for a lifetime.
