At Merrill Gardens we truly care about our residents and their needs. Our Active Living Department offers many options for our residents. We have exercise classes to keep our residents healthy and fit, we offer special and innovative craft programs, computer classes and excellent outings.
We also take a personal approach to assisting our residents with special needs. Imagine a family member or a friend who has lost the ability to hear. How would you feel? It’s very lonely to be in a world where verbal communication is so vital, and to have the feeling you are not a part of it. At Merrill Gardens at Chateau Whittier we have found one way to bridge this gap. We are offering Sign Language classes to educate us in learning this way to communicate with others. Together we strive to create a community where everyone feels comfortable and valued for who they are.
