Oakmont Village a Premier Active Adult Community in Northern California, has individual homes, as well as maintained areas and facilities for assisted care. Oakmont has approximately 3,000 homes. About 80% are freestanding, 15% are attached to one to three other units, and 5% are apartments. Oakmont has a population of about 4,500, an ideal number to support a wide variety of facilities and interests yet not allow you to lose your identity in a development of many thousands. Oakmont Village was incorporated in 1964. The primary resident must be 55 or older and additional residents must be at least 45 except in special cases.

Living in an adult community, you'll have the opportunity to build friendships with people who share your values and interests. Oakmont residents have a myriad of career backgrounds, achievements and life experiences; this makes them interesting friends and neighbors.

The Oakmont bus #16 circulates throughout Oakmont and goes to shopping centers and grocery stores 5 days a week. The County Bus #30 makes several trips daily through Oakmont to Santa Rosa and Sonoma.
